Music video being shot by production company Remember the ProjectorRemember the Projector, a Brixton-based music video projection company, is offering a local band or soloist the chance to win a free music video. All you have to do is submit a song for consideration. Staff at the production company will then pick 5 of their favourite songs. Out of the final five, one will be picked at random to win.

What you win

Remember the Projector’s Chris Acton says: “The winning band will get a music video made for their submitted song free of labour charges. This means a free pre-production period where we will collaborate to create a concept for the video, 1 free shoot day using any of the kit we own in house for free and all post production work for free as well. The value of the prize is about £2000 and you get it all for nothing”

How to enter

To enter go to Remember the Projector Facebook  and click on the M V COMP tab at the top of the page and fill in the following information:

  • The name of you band / solo project
  • The name of song you’re submitting
  • A link to a stream of the song
  • The names of band members
  • Your band’s Brixton address

Bands are allowed to submit as many songs as they like, but none of the acts will have more than 1 song in the top 5 short list. Songs must be original compositions and you must own all the rights to them. Absolutely no covers.

The band must be based in Brixton; either one of your members must live within the SW2, SW4, SW9 and SE24 postcodes or you must practice in studio based in one of those postcodes. Please submit this address when applying.

Remember the Projector’s Chris Acton says: “We want to judge each band based solely on the music, so any attempt to communicate with us by bands outside of this form will be disregarded unless you’re asking a question about how to apply.

“All information submitted to us is subject to our privacy policy which can be found here

How do you know you’ve won?
