Brixton Hill by-election hots up as candidates hit the campaign trail

Candidates hoping to become the next councillor for Brixton Hill on January 17 have hit the campaign trail in SW2.

Most of the seven candidates, listed below, have written here on Brixton Blog about why they should be elected as the third member on Lambeth council to represent the neighbourhood.

To help voters make up their mind, the Blog has organised a candidates question time event this Thursday, at Corpus Christi church hall, at 7pm. All are welcome to come and quiz the town hall hopefuls.

The list of candidates, in alphabetical order, is below. Click on a name to read more about what they hope to do for Brixton Hill.

Brixton Hill ward has some 12,500 residents. It is bounded by Brixton Hill to the east, Acre Lane to the north, and in the West by Kings Avenue. Streatham Place forms the southerly border. The ward has higher levels of long term unemployment than many others in Lambeth.
