Brixton’s Serefina ‘swears’ to raise over £1,000 for charity

Serefina pledged to quit swearing for a month and has so far raised £1009, and rising! The 32-year-old costume maker said: “Swearing is like breathing to me, so it has been a tough challenge so far”.

We’re still getting in the last donations, I reckon we’ll get to around £1,100 before the week is out.” Every swearword costs her £1. Her friend Jo hasn’t worn a dress since 2008, but pledged to wear them every day for a month, including a purple number with tassles on it! Boyfriend Wulf gave up smoking.

The team will throw a ‘thank you’ picnic extravaganza for all their sponsors, which will take place in late May.
