Brockwell Swimmers have again been invited to enter a team for the annual Tooting Lido Heron Invitation Gala on Sunday 20 March. The race is for all abilities and the distance is only one width. “With Brixton’s honour at stake this is surely a challenge not to be refused,” say the swimmers.

The gala’s emphasis is on fun rather than competition, although  Brockwell Swimmers have actually won some medals in the past.

All ages and abilities are welcome, and a sense of humour is essential. Age brackets rang from under 45 to over 60 so there will be plenty of room of everyone. Team perks include a hot sauna to relax in afterwards and, of course, plenty of cake.

The event is free to enter and will starting at 10am and finish at around 11:30am. For more information contact the club.
