A by-election has been called for Vassal ward in north Brixton following the resignation of a councillor.
The ballot will now take place on November 28 in the ward, which include the Myatts Field and Cowley Estates.
It emerged last week that Abrams had resigned to stand as a Labour Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) in Brent Central.
