How to start your own business – register now

Tree Shepherd course attendees in Stockwell Park CentreTree Shepherd is running a new series of Start your own enterprise programmes in Brixton and surrounding areas early next year. The programme is aimed at those on benefits who have found it difficult to find a job, and want to start their own business. The courses are free to those whose household income is less than £22,000.

The course includes how to register a business, do a basic business plan, sales and marketing, finance, presentation skills, people management, and networking. On completion you can join the Lambeth Forest Enterprise Network – membership benefits include free events, business clinics, business incubation, new trade and collaborative working opportunities. Tree Shepherd also offers clinics for expert business advice.

The Brixton and surrounding area events are being held over 8 days in the new year from 10am-4pm.
