Police have issued an image of a man they are looking for in connection with an indecent act on the tube.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 25, at around 6.40 pm on a busy Victoria line train travelling between Brixton and Vauxhall.

Detective Constable Andrew Parkinson said: “A woman on the train noticed a man, who had boarded at Brixton, standing in the doorway area staring at her.

“He proceeded to perform an indecent act.

“The woman challenged him about this behaviour, and he left the train at Vauxhall, but got back on the train before leaving at Pimlico.”

After reviewing CCTV footage from the train, detectives have an image of a man they believe can help with their inquiries.

DC Parkinson said: “This was an unpleasant incident on a crowded train.

“The woman who was targeted did the right thing reporting it to police.

“I would now ask the public to do the right thing and tell us who the man in the image is.”
