The Brixton Blog is to hold a candidates question time next month in the run up to the Lambeth-wide elections on May 22.

The ‘hustings’ event will give any residents in Brixton the chance to quiz council hopefuls from all the parties, and takes place upstairs at the POW (Prince of Wales), Coldharbour Lane, on Tuesday May 13 at 7pm.

The leaders of the three main parties have confirmed their attendance at the question time, and all parties have been invited to take part. It will be chaired by Brixton Blog, with questions expected on the future of Brixton Town Centre, education and free schools, social housing and employment.

Lambeth Council today published the list of all the people nominated to stand in the borough on May 22.

Check out the Brixton Bugle newspaper next week for a double page elections special with interviews, a voting guide and round-up of all the Brixton wards.
