Jerrell Elie, 17, was murdered in Brixton on Saturday, August 8

Police have charged a man with the murder of 17-year-old Jerrell Elie in Brixton.

Nathan Junior Bell, 29, from Portland Grove, Stockwell, has been charged and remanded in custody.

Bell appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court this morning. 

A 30-year-old man who was arrested on August 10 on suspicion of the murder has been released with no further action.

Elie was killed on Saturday August 8 after fleeing a party.

He was allegedly chased after a fight broke out and was hit by a car that had left the party in pursuit. 

The teenager from Camberwell died from severe head injuries in Flaxman Road SE5.
