MasterChef winner Tim Anderson to open restaurant in Brixton

Tim AndersonThis summer, MasterChef winner Tim Anderson is opening his first restaurant, Nanban, in Brixton.

Nanban will open on Coldharbour Lane, at the former site of Chinese restaurant Gyoza, and will serve traditional southern Japanese food.

Since winning the cookery contest in 2011 Anderson has run a number of pop-ups, including at Brixton’s Market House, and released a Nanban recipe book.

Anderson said: “I am beyond excited to be opening in Brixton.”

“Since moving to south London I’ve quickly fallen in love with the whole neighborhood; there is a great sense of community here, and of course an amazing array of food.”
