Police are appealing for help to identify a man after an 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Brixton.

On Saturday June 27 a man approached the girl from behind and touched her bottom as she stood window shopping in Atlantic Road.

The victim’s mother challenged the man and called police.

The suspect is described as white, aged around 21 to 25, 5ft 3ins with blond hair.

He was wearing a grey jumper, dark jeans and sunglasses.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Detective Constable Rob Way at the Met’s Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command on 0208 721 4106 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference 1219532/15.
