£10,000 reward offer over shot at police

Police have offered a £10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of Kojo Kyei-Bamfo, who is wanted in connection with an incident in south London where a shot was fired at police.

They believe Kyei-Bamfo, 25, may be in Ghana, where he is said to have links with Konongo in the Ashanti region.

Westminster magistrates court issued a warrant for his arrest on 12 May. He is wanted for offences including possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life

Kyei-Bamfo is a Black man, around 6 foot 2 inches tall and of stocky build. He has a scar on his left arm.

Police say that at around 4.25 in the morning of Sunday 3 April this year, two plain clothes police officers approached two men acting suspiciously outside Gye House on the Solon New Road Estate, Sandmere Road, SW4.

Both suspects made off. One pointed a firearm in the officers’ direction and fired one shot. Neither officer was hurt.
