Song for a mural

South London hip hop producers Blackmale Beats have produced a song to show appreciation for the Brixton Academy mural, made by Stephen Pusey in 1982. See what you think…

Shem Lawrence and Lukman Shoge, who make up the duo, are releasing a free complation mix tape this summer for their project Our Community Roots, featuring songs by young urban artists from different areas in south London.

Blackmale Beats stated: “Growing up in south London can have many negative stereotypes and by producing Community Roots we want to help break those old ideas.”
