There has been much talk of our memories of Mandela’s visit to Brixton in 1996, but what was the wider legacy left by Mandela in Brixton? A panel hosted by Elizabeth Pears, the news editor of The Voice, will discuss just this at a special screening of ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’ at the Ritzy on Sunday.

Tony Moody from the Lambeth Cricket Academy, Cllr Rachel Heywood and Symeon Brown, founder of Haringey Young People Empowered, will be answering questions on the impact of Nelson Mandela’s visit to Brixton and how to keep his message alive in the community.

The film will be shown at 4.10pm and tickets can be booked here.
