Sudbourne’s big jumble is on again

Sudbourne school logoSudbourne school’s parent teacher association is holding its annual jumble sale on Saturday 16 April.
The massive sale raised £1,700, last year and the aim is to beat that in 2016. On sale will be quality bric-a-brac, books, toys, clothes, shoes, and “swish” clothes for fashionistas.
Light refreshments will be available including delicious homemade cakes.
Time:  2–4pm.
Admission £1, children free. Entrance on Hayter Road SW2 5AP.

Alan Slingsby moved to Brixton just as the 1981 uprising began. His nearest pub was the Effra and nearest off licence the Frontline — long gone in an earlier wave of closures of treasured community establishments. He works out of an office in St Matthews and before that the Bon Marché. Has edited newspapers for the National Union of Students and National Union of Teachers. Now makes a living designing magazines and books and anything else people will pay him for.
