Big Apple @ Brixton Rooftop

All proceeds to charity from “official start to Christmas” (Gets earlier every year etc. etc.). Big Apple team up with their friends at the Love Support Unite foundation to unveil tree, decor and festive menu. “Love specs” available on the night will make staring up at the twinkly ceiling “very special”. 6 – 11:30pm.

Dubioza Kolektiv from Bosnia and Herzegovina live. with a Balkan ska, punk and reggae mix.

First in a series of masquerade parties, with Claptone, Germany’s masked deep house producer, leading the night’s musical offerings at Electric’s latest regular night. Clapton flyerPerforming behind a golden beaked mask, the Berlin-based producer has been a popular figure in German house music over the last few years, with a string of releases on Shir Khan’s label Exploited since his first EP No Eyes in 2013. He will draw from a music collection including his own productions and deep house. With Eli & FurMat.Joe, Technic and special guest: Oliver Dollar. In room 2: Jethro Watson, MADe, Nightmare and Joe Kelly. 10pm–6am. £25+.

 

Phonox

Admired electronic music DJ Gerd Janson begins four consecutive Friday all-nighters. The Running Back label founder’s career has included residencies at some of the world’s most famous clubs. He began in Darmstadt’s Café Kesselhaus then in 2000 took up residence at Frankfurt’s Robert-Johnson from where he began a steady upward trajectory. A residency at Berghain’s Panorama Bar followed alongside a continuous global touring schedule.

Dogstar

Crafty Fox Market return to its original home with a weekend of stalls, workshops, tea and cake, DJs and a bar. Workshops over the weekend include (Saturday) My Blooming Day to learn modern gift wrapping techniques (drop in, £12). Guest curator:  Zoe Pearson, UK Marketing Manager for Pinterest.

Dulwich Winter lightsFrom Tuesday 6 December, Britain’s first public art gallery illuminates its 19th century building and grounds with a lights trail. Wrap up warm and wander the gardens to discover light installations and lanterns from the creative minds behind Christmas at Kew. Follow winding paths to find secluded nooks lit up by bursts of colour, accompanied by a soundtrack of ambient sounds. You can create your own festive family photo at a giant baroque frame in our grounds, venture into the enchanted cottage where the whole family can enjoy Christmas storytelling and festive classics from pop-up choirs. Mulled cider, hot chocolate and other festive treats from a Christmas cabin. Christmas market and street food at weekends.
