    fireworks1Tuesday 3 November: Check out the Life Drawing and Film Club every Tuesday at Brixton Bloc. All materials included for a donation. 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm. From 8.30 pm there will be short films – arthouse or feature – on the giant projector screen with snacks and drinks in the licensed bar.

    Wednesday 4: Trulosound will bring soul and reggae anthems to the Effra Hall Tavern, which also hosts jazz nights every week.

    Thursday 5: No more Brockwell Park fireworks this year but Southwark and Wandsworth both have displays if your looking for some festivities.

    Friday 6: Funkalicious brings heavy funk and sweet soul from classics to the latest modern funk release with DJ Philster. Free, 9 pm to 3 am.

    Saturday 7: Looking for more fireworks? Battesea Park’s display is always a good bet. £8 to £10. Gates open 6 pm, fireworks 8 pm. More locally the Trinity Arms pub will also be hosting a fireworks evening.

    Sunday 8: RiddimUP live presents Kabaka Pyramid, a Jamaican singer who fuses reggae and hip-hop, with his Bebble Rockers bank. 7 pm to 11 pm. £15.
