Brixton residents could win £500 just by adding a little something to their recycling.

Western Riverside Waste Authority which handles waste and recycling for Brixton and other areas in south and west London says residents should receive a book of Golden Tickets soon.

All you have to do is write your name. address and phone number on the tickets and put one into a clear recycling sack or communal recycling bank that contains only clean and dry items.

Tickets found with the correct items (see illustration below) will go into a draw for £500. A total of 10 Lambeth residents have the chance to win in the first draw on October 30.

There will be three more draws, ending with one in March next year, in which 20 residents will have the chance to win £250.

You can print your own tickets or collect them from Brixton Library, the Carnegie Library or the Minet Library.
