Playing with scale and science: Robert Bell’s AXON exhibition at Brixton’s 336 Gallery

Virtual colour: Bell’s work shouts loud at Brixton’s 336 Gallery

AXON is a multi-media exhibition by London-based artist Robert Bell. Bell uses painting, projection, and installation to explore our engagement with the scientific and digital.

Bell’s exhibition is ideally curated in Brixton’s 336 Gallery. Artist-run, the gallery focuses on contemporary art with something to say. AXON sits comfortably in its industrial surroundings, filling the concrete-walled space with dynamic “virtual and material creations”.

336 Gallery also hosts Bell in collaboration with Hot Chip member and one of The 2 Bears, Joe Goddard, on October 24. AXON extrapolates Bell’s presentation of “painting as experience” in a free and unique audio-visual event.

AXON runs at 336 Gallery from October 4 – November 11, Thursday-Saturday 12-6 pm or by appointment.

EVENT with Joe Goddard, October 24 7-10 pm.
