    Your guide to what’s happening in Brixton this week.

    Monday 25 January: This week is Independent Venue Week,a 7-day celebration of small music venues around the UK with over 120 venues taking part, so head down to The Windmill to catch some great acts. On Monday, SLEASE and Billy Prince Brown perform alongside other acts. 8pm. £3.

    Tuesday 26: Head down to Brixton Bloc for a life-drawing class followed by an arthouse film. Donations for the drawing, 6.30pm, £1 for the film, 8.30pm.

    Wednesday 27: Singer-songwriter Misty Miller returns to home turf to perform ukulele-fuelled folk along with guests. 8pm. £5 advance, £6 on the door.

    Friday 28: The Craig Charles Funk & Sould Club returns to Brixton Jamm. 10pm to 4am. £13.50

    Sunday 30: South London Botanical Institute offers the chance to make your own perfume and discover the art behind perfumery. 10.30am to 2.30pm. £35.
