Get on the wagon for a good cause

Bottles of sea waterThirsty visitors to Pop Brixton in the next couple of days will encounter a difficult challenge that ought to be hard to resist.

The RNLI, the voluntary organisation that funds and runs the UK’s lifeboats, will ask them to drink only water for 10 days and to give what they save to help keep lifeboats afloat. The need for them has been made tragically obvious by recent drownings off British beaches.

A pop-up bar will offer free bottles of drinking water as well as a collection of bottles of sea water – not for consumption – collected from 10 different points around the coast.

The RNLI’s  H2Only challenge runs from Tuesday 13 September to Friday 23 September. For more information, or to sign-up to take on the H2Only challenge, visit h2only.org.uk.
