Butchers, Bakers, Curry Goat Makers: Belly Full review

One of our favourite reads over the summer and autumn has been Riaz Phillips’ Belly Full, a colourful, stylish exploration of UK Caribbean food culture and the people behind our most popular Caribbean eateries. – including, of course, a number of Brixton’s shacks, cafés and restaurants.

Funded by a Kickstarter campaign and published by independent publisher Tezeta Press, Phillips has toured the UK meeting chefs, butchers, grocers and bakers to bring you their stories.

The book comes with lovely photography and some classic recipes via the accompanying “Likkle Cookbook” supplement. A tasty read.
