Brixton’s Sixteenfeet Productions are taking part in the Summer Give an annual fundraising campaign run by the Big Give and The Childhood Trust. Money donated is matched and will enable the theatre company to put on the outdoor production of Wind in the Willows in Brockwell Park from 25 – 31 June as well as giving children the opportunity to participate in theatre workshops and perform.

Throughout its 10 years, Sixteenfeet, a charity that receives no core funding has been combining theatre and nature in local parks across south London.
Caroline Funnell, artistic director said: “The company tries to ensure its work is affordable to all, but in particular to young people who may not get the opportunity to participate because of social or economic factors. Our ethos is to create engaging and accessible theatre with a wide appeal.
“It is amazing to be able to do theatre in our local park and we can’t wait to welcome the audience into the magical location of the Walled Garden in Brockwell Park.”

The Childhood Trust’s Summer Give provides an opportunity for you to double your donation to charities that are supporting some of Lambeth’s most disadvantaged children during the school summer holidays.
Sixteenfeet Productions provide an alternative to the traditional theatre going experience. Local writers, musicians and performers work collaboratively to produce re-imagined classic stories. The performances are complemented with workshops for schools. The company aims to represent on stage and in the creative team the diversity of the local area.
